Introducing the new chairman

We are happy to announce that, as of 1 January 2020, Joost Hunfeld (Perrigo) succeeded Dirk Groen (Mylan) as chairman of the board of Neprofarm.

“It is an honour for me to be the chairman of Neprofarm, the Dutch association of the pharmaceutical industry of self-care medicines. Self-care is more relevant than ever. Consumers are increasingly taking their health and wellbeing into their own hands and society is struggling to keep our healthcare system sustainable. Self-care can play an important positive role, as long as we continue to cooperate with governments, retail, industry and all other social stakeholders.

We must also continue to work together on other major themes. Whether it is about digitisation or internationalisation of self-care, the impact of our sector on the environment or on living and working conditions for people in the entire chain, these are major issues where we can achieve more together than alone.

Under the care of Dirk Groen, Neprofarm has successfully shaped this collaboration over the past years. For that I owe him, on behalf of all of us, great thanks.
